Warmup’s underfloor heating – an established solution to Asthma problems
Warmup's radiant underfloor heating system has been officially recognised by Asthma & Respiratory Services (Waikato) as an effective tool in managing respiratory conditions
One of Warmup's clients, a Waikato family that suffers from asthma, recently tested and evaluated the impact of Warmup's underfloor heating, and found it to be a welcome improvement in their lives.
The family of five lives in an older home in Hamilton. The middle child, aged two years, has moderate to severe asthma that resulted in a hospital admission late 2008. Last winter they constantly used a column heater in his bedroom, but it had little effect.
After installing Warmup underfloor heating, the children’s health improved remarkably – there have been no doctor or hospital visits for asthma or bronchiolitis. The family reports that the air feels drier, and they enjoy the feeling of the warm floor. They have found that the children no longer wake, feeling the cold, on frosty nights. Although national power prices have increased, their electricity bill has been approximately the same.
The conclusion: A warmer, drier and healthier house.
The family is satisfied. With underfloor heating in the children’s bedroom, they have found that keeping the children healthy has been easy and affordable. Warmer, drier homes are important for everyone - especially for people with respiratory difficulties.
